Run With Carl

The annual Labor Day Run with Carl is now in it's 14th year and provides funding for the Carl D. Schillig Memorial Scholarship fund. Last year's run/walk participation exceeded 1100 runners with over 45 sponsors, 200 volunteers and countless spectators. Four events are now included; One mile fun run for children to age 12, 5K run/walk, and 5 mile run and 5 mile Skaterace. Proceeds funded the Carl D. Schillig Memorial Fund, Inc., a 501-c(3) organization.

Des Moines Marathon

This marathon runs through the tree lined-heart of Des Moines carrying you along the Des Moines River. A Half Marathon, 5-Person Marathon Relay Challenge, 5K Road Race and Kids Run.
