I Love My Hobbit Feet and NB Does Too!

If you have read this blog with regularity, you will know that I have a love/hate relationship with my feet. Any woman with a size 7.5 2E would feel the same. Yes, they are hobbit feet, but they are my hobbit feet. It is not easy to have an extra wide woman's foot. Most shoe companies pretend as if we do not exist. One of the reasons I came to work for NB was because I could wear the shoes. Nevertheless, I'm young and I don't want to wear old lady trainers. Now the love of my shoe life was my 1222- cool looking and fit great. After incessant complaints by co-workers and my running companion on the state of my year and a half old pair, I finally caved in and got the 1223. This does not come in women's 2E, but the 8 D fit perfect. The cushion is great and it fits my heel better. Also with the width of my foot the tongue of the 1222 would always slip out. The rise on the 1223 is higher so I don't look like I'm busting out. Now I've advocated alternating shoes when working-out so I decided to take my own advise and get another shoe so both pairs last longer. I went with the 858. I tried it on because Runners World loved it, but I bought it because I love it. Oh, the ride is like butter. And if you're a heaver runner you'll be in heaven it. Plus the woman's version has a pretty color-way. So hobbit-feet rejoice you can find running shoes that look good and work well too.
