World Fitness Day 2010!
May 1st marks the first annual World Fitness Day celebration. The inaugural event is being kicked off in Atlanta, Georgia at the Georgia Dome--the home of the Atlanta Falcons. You and thousands of people can join actress and fitness icon Jane Fonda in Atlanta to promote good health along with health experts Richard Simmons, Billy Blanks, Denise Austin, Debbie Allen, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. The Georgia Dome has been transformed into a workout wonderland with thousands converging on the field to celebrate the benefits of good health and the importance of health and fitness throughout your life span. Opening the event was Dr. Sanjay Gupta along with celebrity trainers leading participants into exercise sessions appropriate for most fitness levels. Fonda, celebrity trainers, and entertainers will continue fueling the energy of the day with one massive group work out. Also expected later on in the day is a video tribute from California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Adding to the excitement will be live performances from excersize favorites The Pointer Sisters and Atlanta's own Ludacris. The event will benefit the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, the non profit organization Fonda founded in 1995. Can't be there?
