Back to school for many kids, means back to fashion.

What's hot for the Fall?

Jeans, Vintage rock band t-shirts and athletic retro shoes.

Now I have to tell you, I went to school for fashion design/merchandising and I have a very open mind when it comes to fashion trends.

But last week-end, I found myself standing in the store with my 14 year old saying, “look at these jeans, they look like rags.” The "new jeans" were very worn out with a lot of holes. The look - the more distressed the jeans - the better. Then he wanted the Rolling Stones t-shirt with those big lips.

We finally agreed, okay on the distressed jeans, but none with holes. Okay on the rock t-shirt, but no big lips, Pink Floyd, Wish You Were Here, I could live with that.

The shoes, PF Flyers, which were acquired by New Balance in 2003. These vintage shoes which have made a comeback along with the Chuck Taylor Converse All Stars version now owned by you know who, Nike.

We went with the PF Flyers, the rationale as to why we went with PF Flyers.
Fashion rule number 1 - We only wear New Balance in our house!

On Dr. Phil yesterday, Dr. Phil and New Balance gave every mom in his audience a hip New Balance sweat suit.

Hot fashion news today. According to this article, New Balance is stated as being one of the three top brands for affordable, practical shoes.

What’s Hot For Fall?

Hmm, the morning after of that sugar buzz! And your wondering what should you do with all of that left over candy? My advice is throw it out.

According to this article, if you don't get rid of the stash soon, you'll gain 5 pounds.

So, you don't want to throw it out seems like such a waste!
This article also includes some good ideas to get rid of that candy.

Now, get busy, get rid of that candy, put your New Balance running shoes on and detox all that sugar!

The buzz is New Balance has made cosmetic changes on the 926. Technology wise, it will be the same as the 925.

Look at the neato character I found on the revised version on the New Balance website this evening. Isn't that awesome looking?

I was looking for an old page on their site and this guy appeared as the "Page Not Found" icon. Great idea on New Balances' part.

Hey, I appreciate your thoughts and because you guys go to the trouble of letting me know what your thinking about and what's going on through your comments, I'm going to make one of you "Rich in NB Socks".
