993 Military Collection!

New Balance is showing their support for the troops with their collection of Military inspired 993's. A new take on your favorite running shoes, these new models will retain all the favored features of the Heritage collection but now in new styles to represent each branch of the armed forces. Marines, Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard each have a color scheme that draws inspiration off their respective brands recognizable seal. Each branch insignia is stitched into the tongue of the shoe and New Balance continues their tradition of "Made in the USA" by including the U.S. flag visible on the back of every heel and overlaid with the letters USA.

Feet Growing?

  Not exactly. When was the last time you had your feet measured? If it has been over a year, then my friend it is time! Multiple things happen in our lives that can affect the size of our feet such as: pregnancy, weight gain, and poor fitting shoes. Daily Dose of New Balance

     New Balance has decided to dip its toes into social networking. As of February 22, New Balance started releasing 15-30 second films online at NewBalance365.com. With a new set of 365 short films—one of which will be released every day over the next year, New Balance is looking to get a foothold into consumers' daily lives. "Some films are funny, others are more artful; some thoughtful and some are hard to explain," he said. The ads were shot by Swedish director Jesper Kouthoofd, who's manned the camera for brands like Ikea and Volvo. Check out the full article here.

2010 Moustache Awards

  Yes, MOUSTACHE AWARDS. New Balance Germany has formed a moustache club. Women and Men are invited to show off their weird and wacky moustaches. Simply send in a picture with your name and email to lifestyle@newbalance.de.

                                   

All members and teams that join the club will automatically participate in the NB Moustache Awards 2010, which will be given out in April.  All moustache-pictures will undergo an official voting. The person or team with the most votes wins the award. To get votes, copy and paste the link to your pictures and share it with your friends. Each vote counts! There will be two award categories: Professionals (retailers) and not (fans & friends). Professionals can win a NB Moustache Party amounting to 1.000 Euros, not professionals can win amongst a wide range of prizes -- from Nintendo Wiis over Flip Cams to exclusive G-Shock watches. But this is not it!  There's going to be an "official member button" for each member, as well as many other cool gadgets like T-shirts or mini-combs for your personal groom. New Experience Store Opens In China

  If you have ever wanted to get your hands the full New Balance experience, now is your time. New Balance has opened its second experience store in Shanghai, China. So what exactly is an experience store? The experience store is designed such that a panoramic view of the ceiling unfurls brand's past, present, and future, telling Shanghai the magnificent story and New Balance's one hundred and four year history making shoes. The newly-opened store occupies more than 2000 sq feet and is located on the first floor of the Novel building. Ouch! I really hate Plantar Fasciitis

  Do you ever wake up in the morning, stand up and want to fall back down? I woke up with the most excruciating pain in my right foot. I know what it is because I am in constant contact with tons of podiatrists. It's the dreaded Plantar Fasciitis. It literally feels like a rubber band is about to snap in my foot!  I know I am not the only one with this, because I help at least 1 out of every 5 customers a day with it. SO…I decided to look online and find something that will at least help me get through the day today. The best thing you can do is start your day with a stretching exercise. I found the following stretch most beneficial for me. Thanks About.com!



           



 1. Stand barefoot.



 2. Left one heel off the ground but keep the ball of the foot and toes flat.        

   

    3.You will feel a stretch on the underside of the ball of the foot.                        

    

    4. Hold for a count of 10. Release.

   

    5. Repeat 10 times.

Endorsed By NO ONE!

  "Endorsed by no one" slogan for New Balance comes to end. New Balance has signed an endorsement deal with the American record holder for the 3,000 meter steeplechase, Jenny Barringer. I'm always interested in what New Balance is doing in the news, so I came across this article and all I could think of was New Balance, who generally steers clear of celebrity endorsements, must have come across one amazing person! "Jenny's accomplishments as an athlete make her a great brand ambassador for New Balance," Tom Carleo, general manager of running at New Balance, said in a statement.
