The styling on the sole of this 574 is amazing and accents the already detailed stitching. Not the shoe for those of you looking for a trainer, but perfect for the style enthusiasts and NB addicts.

Here is a great website, www.TampaRaces.com. If your one of our Tampa runners or heading to the Tampa area for vacation, you may want to include some of these adventure or off road races in your schedule for 2007.

These include trail runs, adventure races, half marathons and 5K's. Scenic races along the West Coast beaches, through state parks and along pines, oak hammocks, and lakes.

I ran across this article today about a winter New Balance running shoe.

You may consider picking up a pair of the 921's if you are trying to overcome your cabin fever and craving to run in the snow. What makes this shoe different than a regular trail running shoe is the 921s feature five threaded holes for spikes which help to overcome the ice and snow, snow shedding lugs which do not allow snow to remain lodged in outsole and a special sticky rubber outsole which provides superior traction.

According to this article the 921's were tested by Jonathan Beverly, the editor of Running Times, who lives in Western Nebraska. He reported the traction of the 921's was impeccable.

Winthrop University, a New Balance Team, will face Missouri Valley Conference power Missouri State in a televised matchup of the 2007 O'Reilly ESPNU Bracketbuster series in Springfield, MO on Friday, Feb. 16.

If you love your iPod Nano and want to utilize the Sport Kit while you run, you don’t have to leave the shoes you love. The Sport Kit works by placing a sensor in the shoe which uses an accelerometer to track your activity, which is then sent wirelessly to your Nano. The sensor is designed to fit in the sole of a specific Nike, but there ARE alternatives if you love the shoes you own. ”Podophile” attached the sensor to his shoes using Velcro; check out his results. I have also just ordered a shoe pouch for $5.99 made just for the iPod Sport Kit and my Nano.

Do your toes look like this?

This can be caused from shoes being too small or improperly fit. Be sure that you have enough room in the toe box of your shoes while you’re standing. Keep in mind, long training sessions and warmer weather can cause your feet to sweel. The bad news: it can take 4-5 months before your toes are back to normal. So if you like sandals in the summer and you don't want to make the people around you queasy, make sure you have the correct shoe size.
